Prairie Style in Malaysia..!!

the Prairie style is created by Frank Lloyd Wright and one of the best example of this style was in one of his residential design in Chicago, USA. it’s called Robie House; Robie is actually the name of the owner..hehe..

so what so special about this house…?

-long and wide overhangs/cantilivered

-wide open interior spaces

-numerous windows around the house

-surrounded by plants..

-low pitched roof and so on….i cant remember so much… hehehe..

originally it looked like this..

because the house is very long and there are trees and shrubs all around the house, therefore there isn’t any complete view image can be found…hehe..

this is the 1;200 scaled model made by my friend and i.. only 2 of us, making this mega sized model..!! largest within the whole group! we spent a lot of money and time on this model… i almost went crazy making this baboon…… large and complicated..!!

orite….. back to the topic..hehehe…. after you’ve seen the original images and models, i think you should have a thought in mind how Prairie houses are like… i browsed through the net, looking through housings around kl, and i saw this house here..!!

don’t you think it looked like the robie house…? except this house was built on a slope….but it look like as if it’s modernized with a little bit of tropical senses..!! this house is in damansara if i’m not mistaken.. the architect who designed this house really good in ‘reconstructing’ a new robie house….
